Dear Family Porat,

My name is Dalya Marks and about one month ago I came on a visit to Israel with a small group from a youth group called “Ezra” for a few days. On this trip we went touring around some areas in Israel and we mostly stayed in Yerushalim. One of the days we spent in the Holy Land we did many, different activities. This is when we met your son and brother, Yochai. He came to speak to us about a program the Magen David Adom have created for foreign people to train and volunteer in the medical services. He was an inspiration for us all and many of us decided to do this special program after his talk. He was truly inspirational.

Although he is no longer in this World his spirit has lived on inside all who have met and come into contact with him, whether through work or social. Some people from the group decided at the time of his speaking to us that they would not do the MDA course have now decided that in honor and respect for Yochai, they would try and enroll on the course as soon as they could in Yochai’ s memory.

Although I can not take the pain away from you I can say that he will not be forgotten even in the Diaspora and he a fine son and brother to be proud of. I know that he was very proud of you all.
